Got a problem? This may help.
05May11
For the first time in ages, I missed work today because of a headache.
It woke me up in the middle of the night and—although I managed to doze for an hour or two before dawn—I was in no condition to have a productive day at the office.
My co-workers were concerned that it might be a sign of trouble with the brain tumor.
But I’m not too worried: If it is related to the tumor, there’s nothing I can do about it. And if it’s not, why waste my time worrying?
The circular logic reminded me of a problem-solving flow chart I saw recently in a colleague’s cube. I’ve recreated it for your enjoyment:
“Don’t worry about it.” Easy to say; hard, sometimes, to do. Still … it’s a pretty good life philosophy.
BTW: I’m feeling much better now. So no worries!

Shared you as my Repost of the Day. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much, Katherine! I’m honored — and I’m also a new subscriber of yours.
Don’t worry about it
Bonjour Heather,
Tu es vraiment Mrs Sunshine.
Un énorme respect pour toi et ta joie de vivre…
Très belle philosophie.
MO from Paris.
Bonjour, cher Mo …
Tu as la même joie de vivre, tu sais … c’est pour ça que nous sommes si bons amis.
Bonne journée, et je te passe un petit coup de fil ce weekend, d’accord?
LOVE this chart! Thanks so much for sharing it!
And hope your head behaves itself for the weekend.
My head seldom behaves itself — it’s always staying out late, bringing home random ideas and stray dogs, and talking me into trying new things that probably aren’t very wise, in the long run.
But at least for now it doesn’t hurt, so that’s a big improvement.
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts …
I think I have shared this link and diagram with everyone I know now. Rather fitting as my students are taking their final exams this morning. And, frankly, I have nothing to worry about. Oh, and I cannot believe I actually understood the posts written in French
Thank you for always making me smile as I read your blog.
Seester! How SUPER cool to find your comment chez le blog de heather. You are awesome and I really, really appreciate your support. Tho I guess i’d better watch my language if you’re understanding the French. Gros bisous!! XO
